On the nose it opens with notes of nuts, Christmas cake and cinnamon. Very Jerez-esque, the sweet and spicy spiciness of the Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso also bring out some interesting flavors. There is an earthy richness to the aromas.
In the mouth it is equally rich. More PX notes appear, mixed with ginger, oak wood and sweet red wine. The vanilla and honey add a lovely sweetness and give the spicy notes a nice touch. Nuts also appear, including raisins.
The finish is bold and lingers on dried raisins and apricots.
